Pinnacle consists of 9 custom-built Notion databases: Academic Terms, Assignments, Classes, Exams, Materials, Notes, Study Sessions, Topics, and To Dos.

Let's explore how Pinnacle uses these databases to help you excel in your studies.

Academic Terms represent periods of your academic career, such as Freshman Year First Semester. These connect to the Classes database to track your courses each term. Classes serve as central hubs, connecting to your Assignments, Exams, Materials, Notes, and To Dos.

The Assignments database uses those templates we mentioned earlier and links to To Dos—small, checkable tasks with due dates.

Exams track your tests and the Notes you need to review, connecting with Study Sessions to schedule your preparation time. The Materials database catalogs your resources—books, articles, and more.

The Notes database helps you capture and timestamp your in-class notes. Topics

work like Wikipedia pages, linking to everything you've learned about specific subjects.

These databases form the Pinnacle framework, coming together in a dashboard that shows your current classes, pending tasks, upcoming study sessions, recent notes, and an assignment calendar—all at a glance.

  1. What is Pinnacle?
    Pinnacle is a system designed for the Notion® note-taking platform that college students use to record in-class notes, track their coursework, grades, GPA, and more.
    
    With 10 databases and 9 templates to work with, students excel academically with Pinnacle.
  2. Do I need Notion® to use Pinnacle?
    Yes! Pinnacle operates within Notion, and Notion offers free accounts to all users.
  3. Is this a subscription?
    No. Regardless of which package you select, Pinnacle is a one-time purchase and as long as Notion exists, you will retain access to Pinnacle.
  4. What's a 'database'? A 'template'?
    Notion databases are like enhanced spreadsheets where each row is a note-taking page.
    
    For example, a Meetings database tracks titles, dates, and attendees, with each meeting page summarizing key points and action items. New pages start empty but can use templates, such as 'Weekly Meeting' or 'Annual Meeting,' to pre-fill relevant content.

  5. Can I use this if I've never used Notion®?
    Yes! We walk you through installing Notion and setting up Pinnacle in our Getting Started Guide. And while Notion is a slightly advanced tool, its 100+ million users can attest to its accessibility and incredible power.
  6. What is the Refer & Earn program?

    Once you purchase Pinnacle, at any level, you may customize all or none of it -- it's up to you.\n\nHowever, if you select the Apex package, your customization session gives you 1-hour with a Pinnacle Concierge to modify the layout of your dashboard, properties tracked across any of the 10 databases, how Pinnacle visualizes your academic data, or anything else you can imagine.
  9. What if I buy the Crest package, but decide I want personalization later?
